I was born in 1994. That year was rich with events.

First of all, in 1994 the 17th Winter Olympic Games were held in Lillehammer, Norway. The results of Russian sportsmen were the best: our country got 23 medals: 11 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals.

Moreover, in 1994 Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as South Africa's first Black president. In 1994 the sitcom "Friends" started and became very famous and popular.

In July 1994 the planet Jupiter was hit by a comet. The Brazil won 1994 football World Cup. Israel and Jordan signed a treaty of peace, and the long Israel-Jordan war ended.

In September 1994 Russia and China agreed to de-target their nuclear weapons against each other.

In Novermber Michael Schumacher won his first Formula 1 World Championship.
In December Russian President Boris Yeltsin ordered troops into Chechnya.

Of course, there were much more events, but these are the most remarkable, I think.

I study in school number 149, form 8 'B'. There are twenty-six pupils in my form. They are clever, merry, friendly and crazy. We study a lot of mathematics. The form is divided into 2 groups; in my group there are 13 people: 7 boys and 6 girls.
I have several good friends among my classmates. We often go for a walk together, talk a lot and have fun.
In general i like my classmates, and have good relations with them. Together we celebrate, birthdays, New Year and other holidays. We give presents to each other. On weekends and vacations we often go to the woods and relax together.

Krasnoyarsk is a big and busy city, and there are many malls and shops. I want to describe my favorite shop ‘Bestiya, Kartel’: there are several stores in different parts of the city. I will tell you about Kartel store.

In this shop a lot of clothes and accessories for young people. Those who like snowboard style can buy shoes, pants, jackets and caps. Also there is a variety of snowboards.

In addition to this ‘Kartel’ offers clothes and accessories for skateboarders (shoes, shoelaces, wallets and so on). And everything what you need for your skateboard you can buy here.

If you are not a sportsman, but want to buy some cool and stylish clothes, ‘Kartel’ has a lot of casual clothes and accessories. Some of them are really exclusive.

The shop itself is not big, but cosy. The shop assistants are friendly and ready to help and advise. The prices are not too high.

The shop is situated in the basement. The door is white, with transparent glass. Near the door there are wooden stairs. When you go down the stairs, you will see that the walls look like stone walls, there is an old map and colored lights on it. To the right will be the store for girls, and to the left – for guys. The check-out is situated right near the entrance. Also there is a sofa to have a rest if you are tired of shopping.

Outside the shop there are a lot of benches and several trees. People who shop in ‘Kartel’ often sit on the benches and discuss sports and clothes.

I think that ‘Kartel’ is a great shop and I like everything there. Usually I buy shoes and shoelaces there, and I strongly recommend you to buy a pair of shoes in ‘Kartel’. You will definitely like it.
